The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky so that their leaders would remain bowed before it. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Observe they not the earth, how much We make to grow therein of every fruitful kind? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
