Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve and bar from the way of Allah, Allah will cause their deeds go astray. 1 And those who believe and do good works and believe in that which is revealed unto Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He riddeth them of their ill-deeds and improveth their state. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Even so God strikes their similitudes for men. 3 When you meet those who deny the truth in battle, strike them in the neck, and once they are defeated, make [them] prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as an act of grace, or let them ransom [themselves] until the war is finally over. Thus you shall do; and if God had pleased, He would certainly have exacted retribution from them, but His purpose is to test some of you by means of others. As for those who are killed in God's cause, He will never let their deeds be in vain; 4 He will guide them, and dispose their minds aright, 5 And He will admit them into Paradise – they have been made familiar with it. 6 Believers, if you help God, He will help you and make you steadfast (in your faith). 7 But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), for them is destruction, and (Allah) will make their deeds vain. 8 That was because they were averse to what Allah had revealed; so He let their works go to waste. 9 ۞ Have they not journeyed in the land and seen the fate of those before them? Destroyed they were utterly by God; and a similar (fate) awaits the unbelievers. 10 That is because Allah is the patron of those who believe, and because the infidels! no patron is theirs. 11
