The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
