The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned? 1 Indeed We have created man from mixed semen; in order to test him We therefore made him hearing, knowing. 2 We have indeed shown him the way whether he is grateful or ingrate. 3 We have indeed kept prepared chains, and shackles and a blazing fire for the disbelievers. 4 Indeed the virtuous will drink from a cup, containing a mixture of Kafoor. 5 a fountain at which the worshipers of Allah drink and make it gush forth abundantly; 6 They (are those who) fulfill (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading. 7 they give food, despite their love for it, to the poor and orphans and captives, 8 saying, "We feed you for the sake of God alone, we seek neither recompense nor thanks from you. 9 for we fear from our Lord a stern, frownful Day' 10 God will certainly rescue them from the terror of that day and will meet them with joy and pleasure. 11 And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. 12 Reclining therein upon couches, they will find there neither (heat of) a sun nor bitter cold. 13 And its shade will cover them, and its fruit clusters brought down low for them. 14 And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,- 15 Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure. 16 And they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Zanjabil,- 17 A spring there, called Salsabil. 18 ۞ Immortal youths shall surround them, waiting upon them; when you see them, you would think they are scattered pearls. 19 And when you look towards it, you will see serenity and a great kingdom. 20 Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and of brocades. And adorned they shall be with bracelets of silver: and their Lord shall give them drink a beverage pure. 21 "Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavour is accepted and recognised." 22

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
