He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 So you are after him! 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 And hath fear, 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 lofty and pure, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble, pious. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 How We pour water in showers 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 and his mother and his father; 35 his wife and his sons: 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
