3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
