We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
