And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
