(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 and my tongue fluent 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 so that we may glorify 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We had already shown you favor 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
