Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 (This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided. 3 It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded? 4 He sends the regulation of the affair from the heavens to the earth, then on the day which is equal to one thousand years of yours, it will ascend to Him. 5 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 6 The One Who created all things excellent, and Who initiated the creation of man from clay. 7 Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. 8 Then proportioned and breathed into him of His spirit, and gave you the senses of hearing, sight and feeling. And yet how little are the thanks you offer! 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ Say: "The angel of death appointed over you will take away your soul, then you will be sent back to your Lord." 11
