The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
