Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble scribes, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
