The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 Most Gracious, Most Merciful; 3 Lord of the Day of Judgement. 4 You alone we worship, and to You alone we turn for help. 5 Guide us to the Straight Way 6 the path of those to whom You have granted blessings, those who are neither subject to Your anger nor have gone astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
