The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate 1

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the entire universe. 2 The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, 3 Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. 4 It is You we worship and You we ask for help. 5 Guide us the straight way. 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
