The chiefs of Pharaoh's people said: Lo! this is some knowing wizard, 109 who desires to expel you from your land; what do you command?' 110 They said (unto Pharaoh): Put him off (a while) - him and his brother - and send into the cities summoners, 111 “To bring all the expert magicians to you.” 112 So there came the sorcerers to Pharaoh: They said, "of course we shall have a (suitable) reward if we win!" 113 "Yes," said he, "you will be among the honoured." 114 They said: "O Musa (Moses)! Either you throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw?" 115 "You cast it first," answered Moses. When they cast their spell, they bewitched the eyes of the people and petrified them by conjuring up a great charm. 116 And We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Throw your stick," and behold! It swallowed up straight away all the falsehoods which they showed. 117 ۞ Thus truth was confirmed, and all that they did was made of no effect. 118 So they were vanquished there, and they turned about, humbled. 119 threw themselves down in prostration 120 saying, "We declare our belief in the Lord of the Universe, 121 the Lord of Moses and Aaron.' 122 But Pharaoh said: "You have come to accept belief in Him without my permission! This surely is a plot you have hatched to expel the people from the land. You will soon come to know. 123 I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, then will I crucify you all together. 124 They answered: "Verily, unto our Sustainer do we turn 125 Will you punish us just because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us? Our Lord! Shower us with perseverance and cause us to die as those who have submitted [to You].' 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
