Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Verily the God-fearing shall be amidst gardens and springs. 45 Enter them in peace, secure. 46 And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity). 47 No weariness shall ever touch them in this [state of bliss,] and never shall they have to forgo it. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 and that My chastisement is the painful chastisement. 50 And inform them of Ibrahim’s guests. 51 (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. 52 They said, "Do not be afraid. We come to you with good news. You shall have a son who shall be endowed with great knowledge." 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." 55 Abraham said: "Who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except the misguided?" 56 Abraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of Allah)?" 57 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, 58 excepting the folk of Lot; them we shall deliver 59 “Except his wife – we have decided that she is of those who will stay behind.” 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
