And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
