And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
