And man (the disbeliever) says: "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" 66 Does man not remember that before We created him he was nothing? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein. 70 And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed. 71 And once again: We shall save [from hell] those who have been conscious of Us; but We shall leave in it the evildoers, on their knees. 72 And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad SAW who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers and disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)." 73 And yet, how many a generation have We destroyed before their time - [people] who surpassed them in material power and in outward show! 74 Say, "The Gracious One grants respite for a time to those who are in error until, when they are confronted with what they are promised, either in punishment [in the world] or in [the approach of] the Hour, they will realize who is worse in respect of position and who is weaker in resources." 75 God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence. 76 Have you seen he who disbelieves Our verses and yet says: 'I shall surely be given wealth and children' 77 Hath he looked unto the Unseen, or hath he taken of the Compassionate a covenant? 78 No, indeed! We shall assuredly write down all that he says, and We shall prolong for him the chastisement; 79 And We will inherit of him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 They have taken other deities besides God, so that they may be a source of strength for them. 81 Indeed no! They will renounce their worship and turn against them. 82
