Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 Make my task easy 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
