He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 and ease my task for me, 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 And let him share my task 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember You much: 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
