The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
