Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
The unbelieving assembly of his nation, who belied the encounter of the Everlasting Life, and on whom We had bestowed ease in this life, said: 'This is but a human like yourselves; he eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink. 33 And if you obey a mortal like yourselves, then most surely you will be losers: 34 Does he promise you that when you are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, you will be brought forth to life? 35 ۞ How far, how far, is that which you are promised. 36 There is naught but our life in this world; we die and we live and we shall not be raised again. 37 “He is just a man who has fabricated a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe him.” 38 He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 39 He said: In a little while they surely will become repentant. 40 Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong! 41 AND AFTER them We gave rise to new generations: 42 no nation outstrips its term, nor do they put it back. 43 then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time their messenger came to a people, they rejected him. So We destroyed them one after the other, and let them become mere tales. So away with the people who will not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest, 45 Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they scorned (them) and they were despotic folk. 46 And they said: What! shall we believe in two mortals like ourselves while their people serve us? 47 So they rejected them, calling them liars, and they too eventually became of those that were destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the Scripture, that they may be guided. 49 And We made the son of Mary and his mother a portent, and We gave them refuge on a height, a place of flocks and watersprings. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
