The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am naught but a warner manifest. 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
