The tribe of Thamud also rejected the messengers. 141 When their brother Salih said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 142 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 143 So fear Allah and obey me. 144 And I ask of you no hire therefor; MY hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 145 (Do you think) you will be left secure here 146 amidst the gardens, springs, 147 and fields, and [these] palm-trees with slender spathes? 148 And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill. 149 Therefor keep your duty to Allah and obey me, 150 Do not obey the order of the wasteful, 151 "Who make mischief in the land, and mend not (their ways)." 152 They replied, "Surely you are bewitched. 153 Thou art but a mortal like us. Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
