The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
