The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and of the illustrious Book 1 A guidance and good tidings for the believers, 2 Who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate, and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 3 Verily those who believe not in the Hereafter - fairseeming unto them We have made their works, so that they wander perplexed. 4 Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. 5 You have received this Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing. 6 Tell of Moses who said to his family, "I have seen a fire. I will bring you news from there, or a burning brand for you to warm yourselves." 7 So when he came to it a voice was uttered saying: Blessed is Whoever is in the fire and whatever is about it; and glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds; 8 O Moses, I am God, the Powerful, the Wise. 9 Now cast your rod!" But when he saw the rod writhing as though it were a serpent, he turned his back in retreat and did not even look behind. "O Moses, have no fear. Messengers have no fear in My presence, 10 “Except the one* who does injustice and then after evil changes it for virtue – then indeed I am Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Other than the Prophets.) 11 Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish. (These are two of the) nine Signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people. They are surely a wicked people." 12 But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said, 'This is a manifest sorcery'; 13 And they denied them unjustly and proudly while their soul had been convinced of them; consider, then how was the end of the mischief-makers. 14
