Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 (This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Do they say, "He has invented it himself."? No indeed! It is the truth from your Lord to warn a people to whom, before you, no warner came, so that hopefully they may be rightly guided. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth, then it goes up to Him in one day, whose measure is a thousand years of your counting. 5 Such is (He) the knower of the unknown and the known, the mighty and the merciful, 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation. 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 9 And they say: "What! when we lie, hidden and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a Creation renewed? Nay, they deny the Meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned." 11
