We did indeed aforetime give the Book to Moses: be not then in doubt of its reaching (thee): and We made it a guide to the Children of Israel. 23 And when they became steadfast and believed firmly in Our revelations, We appointed from among them leaders who guided by Our command. 24 Indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matters in which they used to differ. 25 [But] can, then, they [who deny the truth] learn no lesson by recalling how many a generation We have destroyed before their time? [people] in whose dwelling-places they [themselves now] walk about? In this, behold, there are messages indeed: will they not, then, listen? 26 Do they not see that We drive the rain towards a land that is dry, then grow grain from it which their cattle and they themselves eat? Will they not see even then? 27 And they say, “When will this decision take place, if you are truthful?” 28 Say: 'On the Day of Opening the faith of the unbelievers will not benefit them, nor shall they be respited' 29 So turn away from them and wait. They too are waiting. 30
