The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
