۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 'Why do you not help one another? 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In gardens of delight, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 What, do we then not die 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
