THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
