We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
