Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
