And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
