We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
