And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 They used to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
