Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
