Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
