S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an full of admonition. 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them. They called: 'The time is neither of escape, nor safety' 3 Now these [people] deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst - and [so] the deniers of the truth are saying: "A [mere] spellbinder is he, a liar! 4 Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing." 5 And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)! 6 We never heard of it in the former faith. It is surely a fabrication. 7 What, has the Remembrance been sent down on him out of us all?' Nay, but they are in doubt of My Remembrance; nay, they have not yet tasted My chastisement. 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for them? So would they not just ascend using ropes? 10 This is only a small army out of the several armies that will suffer defeat here. 11 The people of Nuh and Ad, and Firon, the lord of spikes, rejected (apostles) before them. 12 And the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the People of the Woods; these are the groups. 13 There was not one but belied the apostles, wherefore justified was My wrath. 14
