Say: O My bondmen who believe! Observe your duty to your Lord. For those who do good in this world there is good, and Allah's earth is spacious. Verily the steadfast will be paid their wages without stint. 10 Say (O Muhammad): Lo! I am commanded to worship Allah, making religion pure for Him (only). 11 “And I am commanded that I be the first to submit.” 12 Say: "Behold, I would dread, were I to rebel against my Sustainer, the suffering [which would befall me] on that awesome Day [of Judgment]." 13 Say: "God alone do I worship, sincere in my faith in Him alone 14 as for yourselves, worship anything you please besides Him!" Say, "The real losers will be those who lose themselves and all their kith and kin on the Day of Resurrection. That is the [most] obvious loss. 15 Above and below them their will be shadows of fire. This is how God frightens His servants. My servants have fear of Me. 16 And those who put away false gods lest they should worship them and turn to Allah in repentance, for them there are glad tidings. Therefor give good tidings (O Muhammad) to My bondmen 17 who listen to what is said and follow what is best in it. These are the ones God has guided; these are the people endowed with understanding. 18 How can you rescue the one who is destined to suffer the torment? 19 But those who fear their Lord -- for them await lofty chambers, above which are built lofty chambers, underneath which rivers flow -- God's promise; God fails not the tryst. 20 Do you not see that God sends down water from the sky, then makes it flow in rills on the earth, and brings forth corn from it which, having passed through changes of shade and colour, comes to ripen, and you see it autumnal yellow; then He reduces it to chaff. There are indeed lessons in this for those who are wise. 21
