Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who rejected the Book and the message which was given to Our Messenger will soon know (the consequences of their evil deeds). 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 into boiling water and then they will be burned in the fire. 72 Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship] 73 associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error. 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 Enter Hell now to abide in it. How woeful is the abode of those who wax proud! 76 So be thou patient; surely God's promise is true. Whether We show thee a part of that We promise them, or We call thee unto Us, to Us they shall be returned. 77 And indeed, [O Muhammad,] We sent forth apostles before thy time; some of them We have mentioned to thee, and some of them We have not mentioned to thee. And it was not given to any apostle to bring forth a miracle other than by God's leave. Yet when God's will becomes manifest, judgment will [already] have been passed in all justice, and lost will be, then and there, all who tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand]. 78
