Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know, 3 A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 who do not pay Zakah, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
