۞ And when the son of Maryam is held up, an example, behold! thy people thereat cry out. 57 And they say: are our gods better, or is he? They mention him not to thee save for disputation. Aye! they are a people contentious. 58 He is naught but a bondman: him We favoured, and him We made an ensample unto the Children of Israil. 59 if We had so wished, We could have appointed angels in exchange for you to succeed you on the earth. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 And do not ever let the devil stop you; he is indeed your open enemy. 62 And when Isa came with evidences, he said: of a surety I have come unto you with wisdom, and to expound unto you some of that wherein ye differ; so fear Allah and obey me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path' 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 What are they waiting for – except the Last Day, that it may suddenly come upon them while they are unaware? 66 On that Day even bosom friends shall become enemies to one another, all except the God-fearing. 67
