Al-Zukhruf 7 of 7
O My slaves! For you there is no fear this day, nor is it ye who grieve; 68 Those who believed in Our signs, and were Muslims. 69 Enter Paradise, you and your wives, in happiness. 70 Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally. 71 Such will be the Garden of which ye are made heirs for your (good) deeds (in life). 72 Ye shall have therein abundance of fruit, from which ye shall have satisfaction. 73 Indeed, the criminals will be in the punishment of Hell, abiding eternally. 74 It shall not be abated from them and they shall therein be despairing. 75 We did not wrong them, but they were harmdoers. 76 And they cry: O master! Let thy Lord make an end of us. He saith: Lo! here ye must remain. 77 'We brought you the truth, but most of you were averse to the truth.' 78 Have they contrived some scheme? If so, We too will contrive a scheme. 79 Or do they, perchance, think that We do not hear their hidden thoughts and their secret confabulations? Yea, indeed, [We do,] and Our heavenly forces are with them, recording [all]. 80 Say (O Muhammad): If the Beneficent One hath a son, then, I shall be first among the worshippers. (But there is no son). 81 Glorified be the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, from that which they ascribe (unto Him)! 82 So leave them plunging into false discourses and sporting until they meet their day which they are threatened with. 83 And He it is Who is Allah in the heavens and Allah in the earth; and He is the Wise, the Knowing. 84 And Most Auspicious is He, for Whom is the kingship of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; and only with Him is the knowledge of the Last Day; and towards Him you are to return. 85 And those [beings] whom some invoke beside God have it not in their power to intercede [on Judgment Day] for any but such as have [in their lifetime] borne witness to the truth, and have been aware [that God is one and unique]. 86 If you ask them who created them, they will answer: "God." How then can they turn away? 87 The Prophet has said, "Lord! Truly they are a people who do not believe." 88 Therefore excuse them and proclaim, “Peace”; for they will soon come to know. 89

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
