So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
