The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 In fact, the Hour of Doom is the time for them to suffer. The suffering of this hour is the most calamitous and the most bitter (of all suffering). 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation, as written in the Book of Decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
