The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
