Verily for the God-fearing, are with their Lord Gardens of Delight. 34 What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty? 35 What aileth you? How foolishly ye judge! 36 Or have you, perchance, a [special] divine writ which you study, 37 That ye shall have, through it whatever ye choose? 38 Or, have you an oath from Us that stretches to the Day of Resurrection (if so) you shall surely have what you judge! 39 Ask them, who among them is a guarantor for it? 40 Or have they "partners"? Then let them bring their "partners" if they are truthful! 41 On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able, 42 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 43 Then leave Me Alone with such as belie this Quran. We shall punish them gradually from directions they perceive not. 44 I shall give them respite, however, My plan is so strong that they will never be able to escape from it. 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Is with them the unseen, so that they write down? 47 So wait with patience for the judgement of your Lord, and do not be like (Jonah) of the fish who called (to his Lord) when he was choked with anger. 48 Had not a Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been (left in the stomach of the fish, but We forgave him), so he was cast off on the naked shore, while he was to be blamed. 49 Thus did his Lord choose him and make him of the Company of the Righteous. 50 And those who disbelieve well-nigh cause thee to stumble with their looks when they hear the admonition, and they say: verily he is mad. 51 While it is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 52
