Surely, the cautious shall have Gardens of Bliss with their Lord. 34 What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty? 35 What is the matter with you? How ill do you judge! 36 Or have you, perchance, a [special] divine writ which you study, 37 Surely therein you shall have whatever you choose! 38 Or have you received a solemn promise, binding on Us till Resurrection Day, that yours will assuredly be whatever you judge [to be your rightful due]? 39 Ask them (O Muhammad) which of them will vouch for that! 40 Or have they, perchance, any sages to support their views? Well, then, if they are sincere in this their claim, let them produce those supporters of theirs 41 Upon the day when the leg shall be bared, and they shall be summoned to bow themselves, but they cannot; 42 Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound. 43 Hence, leave Me alone with such as give the lie to this tiding. We shall bring them low, step by step, without their perceiving how it has come about: 44 And I do bear with them, surely My plan is firm. 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Or do they have any knowledge of the Unseen which they are now writing down? 47 So wait with patience for the Command of thy Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish,- when he cried out in agony. 48 and who cried (for help) to his Lord, while imprisoned and helpless inside the fish. Had it not been for a favor from his Lord, he would have been left out in the open, deserving blame for his shortcomings. 49 but [as it was,] his Sustainer had elected him and placed him among the righteous. 50 And the Unbelievers would almost trip thee up with their eyes when they hear the Message; and they say: "Surely he is possessed!" 51 And it is naught but a reminder to the nations. 52
